// Chorphin v1.0 — iOS
After signing up, tap the + button on the Groups screen to create your first group. Give it a name (like "Home" or "Apt 4B"), and you'll receive a 6-character invite code to share with your household members.
Open your group and find the invite code in the group settings. Share the code with your household members — they can enter it in the app under Join a Group to join immediately. You can also send an invite via email or SMS directly from the app.
Yes — Chorphin supports multiple groups. You might have one for your primary household and another for a shared space or family. Switch between them from the Groups tab.
Admins can create and delete chores, manage group settings, add and remove members, and approve reassignment requests. Members can complete chores, add shopping items, and request chore reassignments — which an admin then approves or declines.
When creating or editing a chore, you can set it to repeat: daily, weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. Recurring chores automatically regenerate after completion so your task list stays up to date without manual work.
Chorphin tracks five types of invisible/cognitive labor separately from physical chores: Planning, Appointments, Finances, Emotional, and Admin. Assign these categories to chores like "Schedule dentist appointment" or "Handle insurance renewal" so they're counted on the Fairness Dashboard — not just the visible tasks like vacuuming.
When enabled, a chore won't be automatically marked overdue if its due date passes. This is useful for low-priority tasks or for ADHD households where a strict overdue marker creates unnecessary stress. The due date is still shown as a target.
Members can tap a chore and request a reassignment. The group admin will receive a notification and can approve or decline the request. Admins can reassign chores directly without needing approval.
The Fairness Dashboard calculates each member's share based on effort minutes — the estimated time set on each chore — not just the number of tasks completed. This means a 60-minute chore counts as twice as much as a 30-minute one, giving a more accurate picture of who's actually doing the work. You can filter by the last week, last month, or all time.
This card shows what percentage of each member's total contribution comes from mental/cognitive labor versus physical chores. It surfaces hidden imbalances — like one person handling all the scheduling, finances, and appointment-booking while another only does visible physical tasks.
Chorphin offers three reminder styles, configurable in Settings → Notifications:
Enable Streak Forgiveness in Settings → Focus & ADHD Support to allow a grace period of 1–7 days before a missed chore breaks your streak. Life happens — this feature means one bad day doesn't undo weeks of progress.
The Meal Plan tab shows a 7-day grid with four meal slots per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack). Tap the + on any slot to add a meal — either as a custom entry or linked to a saved recipe. Use the week navigation to plan ahead.
Open a recipe and tap Send Ingredients to Shopping. From the Meal Plan view, you can also tap Send Week to Shopping List to push all recipe ingredients for the current week at once.
Go to Settings → iOS Calendar and tap Sync to Calendar. You'll be asked to grant Calendar access if you haven't already. Chorphin creates a dedicated "Chorphin" calendar on your device and exports upcoming chores and events to it — your personal calendars are never touched.
In Settings → iOS Calendar, tap Disconnect Calendar. This removes the entire Chorphin calendar and all its events from your device. You can re-sync at any time.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm. Once deleted, your profile, all chores you created, and your group memberships are permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.
Yes. All data in Chorphin is scoped to your household group. Other Chorphin users outside your group cannot see your chores, shopping list, meals, or any other data. Only members you have invited to your group can see your household's information.
Chorphin uses Supabase (hosted on AWS) to store your account and household data securely in the cloud. This is what allows your whole household to see shared chores in real time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
